Heavy Metals
We use inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry to detect trace levels of the "Big 4" heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead.
Plants cleanse soils through phytoremediation, pulling contaminants directly from their environment. That ability was demonstrated at cleanup sites like Chernobyl, but it poses a risk for anything intended for consumption. Trace elements accumulate from growing mediums, soil, fertilizers, and the metallic equipment used in concentrate and oil processing.
Failing on metals? We also test components: water, soil, nutrients and pre-roll papers, so you can find where it is coming from.
